Visiting Zurich is like coming to another hometown for me. Ian lived here for four years, so it has a special pull for me, and no trip to the continent would feel right without a bit of a stop-off in Zurich.
Especially when I get to catch my Lichtensteinian/Zuricher buddy, Christian . . .

Got to share the most epic vegan dinner ever with this mob.
Switzerland has got everything: cheese, clocks, chocolate, a bank or two, but the mountains need no introduction.
So we went on a tiny ‘excursion’ to a waterfall in the mountains.

An evening meal of traditional Swiss food in Zurich where I cannot remember the name of my dish, but there was nothing remotely vegan or vegetarian here.
“Frauenbad” opened in its current form in 1888 as a women-only pool that draws its water from Lake Zurich and the River Limmat. It is still for women only today but every now and then they open it the evenings for drinks and a bit of dancing.
So we went for drinks and a bit of dancing.
Also took a little day trip to the capital, Bern; since Switzerland is a federation of states, there is no official capital, but between you and me, it’s the capital.
This is reported to be the clocktower Einstein based his initial ideas around relativity on — as his tram was pulling away from the clocktower.
